In support of the suicide prevention charity CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably), Triland Metals proudly took part in a unique fundraising initiative led by Suzanne Jenkins, Middle Office Clerk.
Motivated by her growing awareness of mental health challenges and the importance of suicide prevention, Suzanne gathered support and volunteers from Triland to take on a light-hearted yet meaningful challenge: visiting every football stadium in London in a single day.
The journey began at 8:00 AM on a sunny Saturday morning at Selhurst Park. From there, the team embarked on a 17-mile mission across the city, aiming to raise £1,000 for CALM.
Some travel stats from their journey:
- Buses: 10
- Trains: 4
- Tubes: 10
- Walking: 37,380 steps (17 miles total)
Through their determination, they made it to their final destination: Stamford Bridge, arriving at 10:00 PM.
Thanks to the generosity of friends, family, colleagues, and contribution from Triland Metals, the team raised an incredible £3,140—more than triple their original goal for a great cause.
